it's so good to see you!
If this is our first time meeting: hi, I'm Cadence! In April 2026, I sold nearly everything I owned, packed my life into three suitcases, and moved from the U.S. to Sydney, Australia. It was one of the scariest things I've ever done, and also one of the most rewarding. This move has completely changed my life.
Now, I'm soaking up every day in Australia, camera in hand. Whether it's a normal day at home, a HYROX race, decorating my new apartment, or a trip around the country, I'm sharing the journey on my YouTube channel.
When I'm not filming or editing my own videos, I'm probably watching someone else's. I spend most of my free time at the beach, but otherwise you'll find me reading, cleaning my apartment, snacking on Goldfish, over-planning every minute of my life in Notion, or grabbing Yochi. In fact, I get Yochi so often that the reusable container (with a 10% discount each time you use it) actually paid for itself. I wish I was kidding.
LIFE THROUGH MY LENS
I've been making videos since I was eleven years old (shoutout to the old iMovie trailer templates... those were the days). I took three years of film class in high school, and my dream job was to be a movie director. I was even the anchor of my school news show, and yes, those clips are just as awkward and funny as you're imagining. As a teenager, my absolute favorite thing was making trip videos. I loved cutting together montages of travel experiences with my friends or family. I even started lugging around a camera my mom borrowed from the high school where she teaches (back when iPhone cameras weren't cutting it). Fast-forward to college, and I ended up studying economics and data analytics because it seemed like the safer career path.
After graduating, I spent three years as a data analyst at a large U.S. tech company. I loved that job, but I knew I would regret it for the rest of my life if I didn't give YouTube a chance. So in 2022, I started making videos on weekends and in the evenings after work. I've made all kinds of videos over the years, and the early ones are a pretty hard watch. For your sake and mine, many of them are private now. But as I've worked through the cringe of listening to the sound of my own voice for hours while editing, I've fallen in love with sharing my life through these videos and connecting with people all over the world. A couple years after starting my channel, I left my job to become a full-time creator. Since moving to Sydney, I've come full circle in a way, back to making trip videos. But now with a much better camera and a much bigger trip. And I've never been more inspired.
At the core of it all, I love to find and capture the beauty of the ordinary things in my life. From the way the ocean sparkles in the afternoon light to the everyday routine of making my morning coffee, I believe that even the small things are story-worthy. My hope is that my videos will leave you feeling inspired to find and feel the beauty in your own life.
I always have a camera of some kind in my hand, and I'm constantly stopping throughout the day to take photos or video clips of food, or birds, or palm trees (and yes, that makes me super annoying to hang out with IRL). I also have a habit of spending way too long editing my videos, from testing dozens of songs to choose the perfect background music for a sunrise montage, to color grading across hundreds of individual clips to create a cohesive feel. Apparently, I'm a big fan of sinking hours into little things you probably won't notice. But now that I think about it, maybe that's the whole point.
